Dr. Patrick J. Minogue

Pat is a state-wide forestry Extension specialist and Associate Professor of Silviculture at the North Florida Research and Education Center in Quincy, FL. He is tenured with the School of Forest Resources and Conservation, and is also affiliate faculty with the UF School of Natural Resources and Environment, The Water Institute, and Adjunct Professor with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee. His research programs focus on applied aspects of forest management, in support of Extension programs to promote environmentally sound forest management practices, to develop alternative forest crops (pine straw, Eucalyptus, tung oil) and to refine silviculture Best Management Practices (BMPs) to protect water resource quality and quantity. Research findings are disseminated through refereed journal articles, web-based publications, national conferences, and state and regional Extension programs. As a member of the graduate faculty, he is active in chairing or co-chairing graduate student committees and supervising graduate student research.
