The North Florida Extension Academy offers trainings on “core topics” to bolster basic knowledge of county faculty. Recognizing that county Agents are regularly asked to provide advice on topics about which they didn’t receive formal education, we strive to provide training that will increase Agent confidence when answering questions from clientele.
Our workshops cover Foundational concepts and incorporate skill-building opportunities. We use face-to-face instruction and offer opportunities to spend time in the field and lab with experts. Each one-day workshop is offered in multiple locations across North Florida to reduce county faculty travel time and limit time away from regular work responsibilities.
